Under a Cardboard Sea
In a nameless city, beneath a cloud of smog there is a theatre – little kingdom of its own, where secrets are hidden and lies are told. Outside, the wheels of progress grind on whilst hundreds of children vanish from the streets. Eventually, they reappear on the stage with painted smiles on their faces, but behind the curtain, nothing is as it seems.
“★★★★★ Quite possibly the biggest theatrical surprise package of the year… terrific acting and stage craft, an absolute credit to all those involved”
“The only comparable work I know is Matilda the Musical, and Under a Cardboard Sea should follow in its footsteps and be shared with audiences beyond its hometown”
